Specification

The Sector Unit Manager manages a team with four main work streams, or go to market units.

•Urban & Rural Planning
•Human Settlements
•Water
•Private developments

This role would be to focus on the implementation of Bulk Water & Sanitation projects and developing the Bulk Water & Sanitation team. A secondary role is to carry out design reviews and provide technical support to bids.

Thus the core responsibilities of this role are:

•The management, development and growth of the Bulk water and sanitation business within the Water team in the Integrated Infrastructure Group North (IIG North).
•Successful implementation of all Bulk water and sanitation projects within IIG North.
•The management (recruitment, training and mentoring) of the Bulk Water and Sanitation team within IIG North including employee satisfaction
•Assist the Business Development Managers for IIG Water in sourcing new projects and clients and the preparation of tenders.
•Ensure Client satisfaction on all bulk water and sanitation projects
•Provide strategic input to ensure the sustainability of the Water business
•Achievement of financial and growth targets for the Bulk water and sanitation team.
Requirements
Qualifications:

oB. Eng / BSc. Eng in Civil Engineering.
oPrEng.

Experience:

oMin 15 years exeperience in the design of water and Wastewater utilities and associated technologies (e.g. water distribution, pump stations and pipelines) at Senior Management level.
oExperience working in a commercial environment and successfully prepared financial proposals.
oTechnical skills in the fields of Water Engineering needs to be sound in order to be respected by peers, the Senior Engineers and other employees reporting into him / her as well as clients.
oMicrosoft Office proficient.
