The Finance department is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Finance Manager . We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.
The core purpose of the role is to plan, direct and ensure the financial sustainability and compliance with legislation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for/should possess the following:
Review and approve the monthly general ledger reconciliations ensuring items are reconciled with 30 days
Implement, maintain and review Good Corporate Governance principles
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
Review and authorize monthly salary payments
Prepare monthly management accounts
Timeous submission of all statutory payment in accordance with legislation
Finalize the budgets for board presentations
Review and approve annual financial statements for board presentations.
Manage bank signatories
Manage the cash flow and maximize the investment revenue on positive cash balances.
Liaise and foster a relationship with relevant stakeholders i.e. auditors, bankers, legal advisers, etc.
Ensure all audit findings are closed off timeously.
Ensure subsidiary operates independently i.e. not regarded as an extension of the South African operation.
Coach, mentor and develop staff to ensure competency in the teams
Develop or update job descriptions, develop performance expectations, identify skills required and develop
IDP's for all subordinates.
Conduct performance appraisals on subordinates in an objective, factual and unbiased manner.
Perform any ad-hoc duties as required by management.
Review and maintain a risk register
Review and maintain a legal register
BCom/CA(SA) completed Articles at an accounting/auditing firm
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience as an Accountant in a commerce industry
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in managing staff
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Well developed administrative skills.
Deadline driven and able to work under pressure.
Good planning skills and time management.
Attention to detail
Able to manage confidential information
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with initiative and drive
Able to lead and motivate a team and manage conflict
Knowledge of BST
Knowledge of International Tax
Knowledge of ISO
Experience working with African countries
